Week 17 NFL DFS Sleepers

Jameis Winston ($6,100 DK – $7,600 FD)

Jameis is coming off of a game in Dallas where he threw for 336 yards and had 1 touchdown without a single interception. He comes home this week to face an Atlanta Falcon’s defense that has been all but impressive this year and back in week 6 when the Bucs played in ATL Winston had 4 touchdowns through the air and 395 yards on 41 attempts.

Josh Allen ($6,000 DK – $7,700 FD)

Like Jameis, Josh Allen is also facing a team that he had success against earlier in the year on the road. When the Bills played the Dolphins in week 13, Allen threw for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns while rushing for 135 yards on 9 rushes. Miami has struggled to stop the run this year and with Allen’s ability to find yards with his legs on busted plays — he should have a relatively high floor.

Teddy Bridgewater ($5,300 DK – $6,000 FD)

This week the Saints are expected to sit some of their notable starters before the postseason and Bridgewater is supposed to see some playing time. How much? We aren’t really sure yet but this could be something to watch while New Orleans plays a Carolina team that has given up roughly 250 yards and 2 touchdowns passing each game.

Running Back

Rod Smith ($5,500 DK – $4,500 FD)

Dallas is locked into the playoffs without the ability to change their 4th seed status so they are also expected to rest starters. Rod Smith will be filling in for Zeke so he should see the 20 carries that Zeke has averaged this year.

C.J. Anderson ($5,400 DK – $6,200 FD)

It was just confirmed that Todd Gurley will sit out this week as the Rams face the 49ers. Last week in Gurley’s absence Anderson rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. In this robust offense it will be highly likely that C.J. sees a bunch of quality carries in this game as well.

Jeff Wilson ($4,400 DK – $5,800 FD)

Matt Breida left the game last week and Wilson filled in and saw 11 carries and 2 targets in his limited work. Breida will be out again this week so Jeff Wilson will see the bulk of the snaps like he did in week 14 where he ran for 90 yards on 23 carries. Dante Pettis won’t play and Marquise Goodwin is questionable as well which would indicate that a big workload for Wilson is likely.

Royce Freeman ($3,500 DK – $4,700 FD)

Philip Lindsay left the Bronco’s game last week in the 3rd quarter after injuring his wrist and has been placed on IR. Freeman is expected to get the nod and should see most of the carries with Booker coming in on passing downs. Royce has only seen double-digit carries in 4 games this year but with Lindsay out he could possibly see his most touches on the year as Denver tries to find out what kind of talent their rookie running back has.

Wide Receiver

Adam Humphries ($5,400 DK – $6,300 FD)

Adam Humphries has started 7 out of Tampa Bays last 8 games and has only seen less than 5 targets one time in that span. Last time he went up against Atlanta’s defense he caught 3 of 4 passes and reached 82 yards. I fully expect this game to be a shootout so I like just about any mix up with the Buc’s or the Falcon’s passing games.

DaeSean Hamilton ($5,000 DK – $5,400 FD)

DaeSean has been on the field a lot since Emmanuel Sanders went down, the smallest snap share he has seen in the last 3 weeks has been 94%. In that time he has averaged 10 targets a game and he should continue to be one of the most productive players in this Denver offense.

Jordy Nelson ($4,900 DK – $5,200 FD)

Jordy has had his best stretch of the year in the last 4 weeks where he has seen 36 targets and reeled in 29 of them. I expect Oakland to air it out this week when they face off against the Chiefs so there’s a good chance that Jordy continues to roll in week 17.

Zay Jones ($4,000 DK – $5,300 FD)

Zay Jones has seen at least 6 targets in 10 games this year becoming one of Buffalo’s most trusted wide outs. In his last 6 games he has caught 4 touchdowns and saw 9 or more targets in 4 of those games. The last time that they played the Dolphins Jones had a great game, hauling in 2 touchdowns and reaching 67 yards receiving.

Tight End

Chris Herndon ($3,400 DK – $5,800 FD)

Herndon has slowly become a big part of this Jet’s offense over the course of the year. Last week against the Packers he caught 6 of 7 targets for 82 yards and a score. Since week 9 he has seen at least 4 targets in every game besides 1 and he should continue to get looks with so many pieces of this offense hurt.

Gerald Everett ($2,800 DK – $4,800 FD)

Everett has been looked at a lot over the last 3 games where he has snagged 14 passes out of 20 targets. If he keeps getting thrown at this consistently he will be a valuable player to own for only $2,800/$4,800 on an offense that likes to score.
