Hey everyone, we have a really nice slate on Wednesday. I don’t know if DraftKings pricing is just getting soft or what, but you can put some really good rosters together. I’ve done some in-depth research, but unfortunately I’m a bit short on time, so I’m going to just list the plays with a quick blurb about each. As usual, feel free to reach out on Twitter with any questions throughout the day or closer to lock and I’ll be happy to give you my final thoughts.
PG/SG: Jrue Holiday – New Orleans Pelicans
Matchup, price, and upside is perfect here. This should be a high scoring, fast paced affair. Holiday is just $6,700. He has scored 47+ DK points in each of his last three games. You can find that kind of upside with consistency at this price.
PG/SG: Jamal Murray – Denver Nuggets
This is a total gut play. Murray has struggled over his last three games, but I think a date with the Clippers is just what he needs to get back on track. This just feels like the perfect spot for one of his 50+ point explosions. He’s down to just $5,700, so we’re talking 9X value if he does have that game. Murray has been at his best this season on back to backs.
SF/PF: Marvin Williams – Charlotte Hornets
Williams hasn’t had a great start to the season, but he’s finally hitting his stride. He’s topped 30 DraftKings points in each of his last three games. He’s just $4,300 and Frank Kaminsky might end up sitting this one out. That would be the perfect situation to lock in Williams’ minutes. He just needs 26 points to hit 6X value and I think he will.
PF/C: Anthony Davis – New Orleans Pelicans
Davis is en fuego right now. He has scored 45, 48, 36, and 30 points over his last four games, respectively. He’s been over 75 DK points in each of the last two and he’s still just $10,500. This matchup doesn’t get any better and if he stays hot, this should be another 70+ outing. Just hold your breath until this one is over, because his glass body does scare me a bit on a back to back.
C: Hassan Whiteside – Miami Heat
Whiteside is a center, and he’s playing the Milwaukee Bucks. Targeting bigs against the Bucks has been profitable and Whiteside has a ton of upside at his $7,400 price. His minutes have been up and down coming back from injury, but don’t read into his last game too much, as it was the second night of a B2B and he just wasn’t playing very well. He should return to 30ish minutes in this one and on the season he’s averaged 1.37 DK points per minute. That would put him over 40 DK points, and the matchup gives him upside for more.
