MLB DFS Plays 9/8

These are my Daily DFS picks for September 8th, 2018

Bang for Your Buck

1. Alex Bregman – Currently the hottest player in baseball (.524/.600/1.333 in September), Bregman is poised to keep his streak going tonight against the southpaw, Eduardo Rodriguez.

2. Paul Goldschmidt – A red-hot Goldschmidt should put up great numbers tonight as he faces the volatile Julio Teheran and the waning Braves.

3. Francisco Lindor – Currently in one of his classic “power surges,” Lindor is going to put up great numbers tonight against the Blue Jays young righty, Sean Reid Foley (5.51 ERA in three MLB starts).

4. Marcell Ozuna – A flaming-hot Ozuna will come into a great matchup against a lefty, Matt Boyd and the Detroit Tigers.

5. Christian Yelich – It is now safe to say that Christian Yelich has broken out this year. He is a lock to put up great numbers versus middling RHP Chris Stratton and the San Francisco Giants

Sleeper Picks

1. Shohei Ohtani (Batter) – Ohtani has been on fire lately with 4 homers in his last three games. He is a cinch to mash tonight versus James Shields and the White Sox.

2. Kevin Kiermaier – Kiermaier has finally started to hit (1.924 OPS in September). Tonight, he faces an overmatched David Hess, who has lost three of hist last four starts for the Orioles.

3. Hunter Renfroe – This past month has been great to Hunter Renfroe, as he has quietly belted ten homers in that span along with a .619 SLG. Renfroe has actually batted better against righties this season, making Matt Harvey the perfect matchup.

4. Lewis Brinson – Brinson has been on a smoking hot streak in the past week, as he has led the majors in hits in that span (with 11). Today he faces Ivan Nova and the Pirates, in what promises to be a slugfest.

5. Luke Voit – A struggling Greg Bird has kept Luke Voit in the lineup long enough to show the Yankees that he is going to be a key bat for them down the stretch. Voit has been hot lately, with 3 homers in the past week. He is all sewn up to produce tonight versus a struggling Felix Hernandez and the Seattle Mariners.
