For most leagues this is the championship week – or next week. Either way, there is little room for error right now. At this point in the season there is very little to say. Make sure to double-check all your players prior to setting your lineup, and good luck to you this week.
Darren Sproles (RB) – Sproles has officially been ruled out of Sunday’s match up against the Ravens with a concussion. The running back was unable to practice all week and will not be ready to take the field. Owners can expect Ryan Mathews to serve as the Eagles’ primary back.
Theo Riddick (RB) – Riddick has missed practice all week and is currently listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Giants. He has been sidelined with a wrist issue and it appears that Riddick will miss his second straight game due to the injury. With Zach Zenner coming back from a concussion, Dwayne Washington figures to be Detroit’s lead back.
Julio Jones (WR) – After missing last week’s game with a toe injury, Jones will do the same this week. With the unfortunate timing of his injury, Jones will now miss another game during a very important part of the fantasy season. Owners can expect Mohamed Sanu and Taylor Gabriel to see increased involvement in the receiving corps.
Brandon Marshall (WR) – Marshall was limited in practice all week while dealing with knee, foot, and back issues. Despite carrying the questionable tag into the weekend, the Jets do expect him to be able to suit up for tonight’s game against the Dolphins. Marshall did note, however, that he was limited in snaps all week in practice and that could continue during the game. Owners should be sure too double-check their lineups tonight as the Jets and the Dolphins will play at 8:25.
Jordan Matthews (WR) – After receiving a rest day during Wednesday’s practice, Matthews was able to fully participate during Thursday’s session. This is good news for Matthews as it indicates he should be a full go Sunday against a tough Ravens defense.
Sammy Watkins (WR) – Despite being questionable, Watkins is expected to play this weekend. The Bills’ star wide out practiced on a limited basis during Thursday and Friday’s practices as he continues to nurse his way back from a foot injury. Watkins is clearly the most dangerous weapon in the Bills’ passing arsenal and there are reports indicating he will play the rest of the season despite the Bills’ playoff chances.
A.J. Green (WR) – Green, who was limited in Friday’s practice, is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s match up against the Steelers. While his return to practice raised hopes of many fantasy owners, it does not appear that this is the week for Green to make his return. Teammates Tyler Boyd and Brandon LaFell are expected to slot in as the Bengals’ top two receiving options come Sunday.
Randall Cobb (WR) – Cobb is currently listed as questionable as he deals with an ankle injury. While he was limited in practice all week, he did not sit out on any of them. This bodes well for his chances to play Sunday, but owners will still want to confirm his status before kickoff Sunday.
Dez Bryant (WR) – After being limited in practice all week with a back injury, Bryant is currently listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Bucs. While head coach Jason Garrett noted Bryant’s condition improved Friday, there has been no other word on his status. Owners will want to keep a close eye on the situation come Sunday due to the Cowboys’ playoff chances.
Amari Cooper (WR) – Cooper, who participated in limited practices throughout the week, is currently listed as questionable with a shoulder injury. There are reports, however, that indicate that Cooper will be ready to go come Sunday as the Raiders will take on the Chargers. Owners should confirm this as inactive lists will begin to surface on Sunday.
Michael Crabtree (WR) – Crabtree, much like Cooper, practiced in a limited fashion all week as he deals with a finger injury. Crabtree is also expected to be ready to suit up come Sunday, but will play a tough San Diego passing defense.
Donte Moncrief (WR) – Moncrief has officially been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Vikings due to a hamstring injury. Phillip Dorsett is expected to see increased involvement in the offense but still makes for a very risky fantasy play this late in the season.
Martellus Bennett (TE) – Bennett has been dealing with ankle and shoulder injuries for the last couple of weeks and is listed as questionable for Sunday. It is expected for Bennett to take the field Sunday and continue to play through his injuries. It is worth confirming before the start of Sunday’s games as the Patriots and Broncos will kickoff at 4:25.
